Common Questions
Which file types are supported?
Guitar Tab Reader opens Guitar Pro files including .gp, .gpx, .gp5, .gp4, and .gp3. Rendering and playback are powered by the alphaTab engine.
How do I open a file?
Open a file from within the app, or drag and drop it onto the window on desktop. Your files stay on your device and are never uploaded.
Why is there no sound during playback?
Make sure your device volume is up and the track you want to hear is not muted. Some scores have individual tracks muted by default — check the track controls and unmute the parts you want to play.
Is the app really free?
Yes. Guitar Tab Reader is completely free, with no ads, no accounts, no subscriptions, and no tracking.
